Tony West

Business Manager/Cook

From the age of 12 Tony prepared family meals and enjoyed cooking. More than 30 years on, he still loves creating new dishes and has channelled this passion into the family business Divine Food Co. His career is varied and interesting and ranges from being a laboratory scientist and an environmental consultant to working in cafes and bars in Sydney and Singapore. For the 15 years before Divine Food Co he ran two small hotels in Liverpool and this is where his eye for improving customer service and skill in creating exciting food was honed. A gap in the market and the talent and support of wife and best friend Mel led him to co-found Divine Food Co. A skill for using fresh ingredients and finding great recipes from home and abroad means he creates excellent, interesting and delicious dishes to a consistently high standard.

Imelda West

Catering and Event Manger/Chef

With an eye for style and presentation and a natural talent for cooking, Mel’s early background was in hotel management. In her twenties she was chosen to be part of a team of event organisers for a major hotel chain which developed her skill for managing any occasion or event. After several years of devoting herself to bringing up a family of four Mel’s attention turned to running her own bespoke catering business from home. Custom was gained entirely by word of mouth and the business quickly became successful. From there, the Divine Food Co idea was born. Mel’s attention to style and presentation, her witty humour, her easy-going nature, her dedication and most importantly her great food are why our team is successful, close-knit and able to give you a great service.
